Most of my designing has been for my own handspun yarns and this has dictated some of
my habits. For instance, I always knit borders, cuffs, waistband, etc. last of all, because if
I run out of yarna change of colour or quality will be less obvious in this way. Using natural
dyes means small amounts of lots of colours - I find dyeing very addictive- so much of my
work uses many colour patterns.
