If I am using several different stitches - as in the Pearoom Jacket-I feel free to change needle size according tothe stitch. For example, Slip-stitch patterns pull in so I use a larger size. If you want to make a multi-stitch jacket, make a stitch sampler without changing needle size. When you look at the knitting you will see which stitches pull in and which spread and can plan your needle changes accordingly. One of the pleasures of making a one-off garment is that you can adapt your work to your own comfort. |
